Arizona Memory Care Rules: Effective July 1, 2025
Key Changes from HB 2764 & New ADHS Rules:
Mandatory evidence based dementia-specific training:
8 hours for all memory care staff
Additional 4 hours for managers
Annual continuing education of 4 hours
New licensing subclass
for facilities providing memory care services, set by ADHS
Enhanced safety protocols:
Stricter elopement prevention policies, signage, and drills every shift
Medical practitioner evaluations and care plans every 6 months
Increased penalties: Up to $1,000 per resident per day for violations, with enforcement tiers

1. Arizona Memory Care Certification (State-Required)
Effective July 1, 2025, every caregiver working with memory care residents in Arizona must complete this certification. Our course is fully compliant with the new ADHS rules.

Simply notify us and we’ll deactivate the old user and open the spot.
